2020 polls will determine destiny of Ghana – NDC Flag bearer J.D. Mahama warns

The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama in a New Year message addressed Ghanaians about the 2020 elections. The former President John Mahama urged Ghanaians to go to polls on December 7, 2020, with the understanding that the elections will be critical for Ghana’s development.

In a video posted to his website, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) said, more than ever, the country needs a more responsive government to competently administer the affairs of the country.

“I do not say it lightly when I say that the 2020 elections will be a pivotal event for our country. It is one that will determine the destiny of our nation. And I believe at this critical stage in our nation’s life that Ghanaians deserve more than ever a government that is honest and truthful with them; a government that takes responsibility and gives them results not excuses or blame,” John Mahama said.

He also mentioned that Ghana needs a government that opens up opportunities to all its people and not just a few.

John Mahama will be contesting for a second time this year in the elections. He was voted Flag bearer and will stand on the ticket of the NDC. He lost in the 2016 elections to H.E Akuffo Addo.
