American singer and song writer Beyonce Knowles-Carter has released her latest album Homecoming alongside a documentary which was released live on Netflix. The film and the album, are both titled “Homecoming,” and shows Beyoncé’s performance at last year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The documentary is on Netflix as “a film by Beyoncé,” featuring footage from rehearsals and backstage moments and was released across to most music outlets for streaming including Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play.
Beyoncé’s album list included hits like “Get Me Bodied,” “Baby Boy”, “Formation,” by Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” and “Soldier” (with her former group mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) and different musical interludes such as “So Much Damn Swag” and “The Bzzzz Drumline.” The album also featured a rendition of the hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a song referred to as the black national anthem by many.
The album also has an acappella version of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Blue Ivy Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s oldest daughter,a new cover of “Before I Let Go,” and “I Been On.”
