Ghana has recorded 359 new Corona virus infections and 7 new deaths, according to the Ghana Health Service.
Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, announced this during a press briefing on Thursday July 30, 2020.
He indicated that the 359 new cases were reported on July 28, 2020, from samples taken between July 16 and July 27.
The new cases were reported from 41 districts in 10 regions, with the Eastern Region recording the highest number of new cases of 112. The Greater Accra Region and Central Region followed with 68 and 64 cases respectively
Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye also indicated that the total number of recovery/discharged cases have increased to 32,090, with the number of active cases currently at 3,223.
The death toll has also risen to 182 after seven more persons succumbed to the disease.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service further indicated that a total of 390,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
