FREE TRANSPORT FOR NURSES IN AREAS AFFECTED BY LOCKDOWN



The Ghana Registered Nurses and midwifery Association (GRNMA) National Executive committee of the said association had an engagement with the general public on Monday 30th March 2020 on Facebook made certain provisions to the nursing fraternity on the series of arrangement made by the association to provide transportation to nurses in affected areas of the lockdown in Accra and beyond.

Mrs. perpetual Ofosu-Ampofo said “BOLT services has reached out to GRNMA to provide free transport services to nurses and midwives in areas experiencing the lockdown.”she further stated that the MInistry of health should lease with health training institution to release their busses to help convey nurses . She further added that, the State transport cooperation should collaborate with the ministry of transport and ministry of health to release some buses to help transport all help workers to work since the lockdown is in place.

In a related development, the Greater ACCRA Regional hospital -RIDGE has made arrangement for buses to pick nurses and other staffs of the hospital at a vantage point in Accra and Kasoa. The bus regiment is scheduled to use the following route Staff Transportation Schedule
Routes
Kasoa Route- From Kasoa Under Bridge to New Barrier to Wieja Junction to Mallam Interchange to Sakaman Junction to Odokor Traffic Light to Kaneshie to Ridge
Amasamang Route -From Amasamang Station to Pokuase Ayalolo Bus stop Station to Tantra Goil Filling station to Achimota Station to Abeka Junction to Circle to Ridge
Nungua Route -From Junction Mall to Teshie station to Labaadi Trotro station to OWusu Presbyterian Bus stop to Ridge
Adenta Route-From Adenta Trotro to Madina Zongo Junction to Atomic Junction Bus Stop to Legon Bus Stop to bawaleshie Bus Stop to 37 Bus stop to Jubilee House Stop to Ridge.

The GRNAM Yesterday, 31st March,2020 circulated a communique to all Nurses in the region to fill their details to be compiled to be given to the management of BOLT-Ghana for compilation to be rolled on the relieve serve for nurses in the region
