Speaking in an interview on Fox FM Kumasi, Ghanaian actress and movie producer Ama K. Abebrese has clearly stated that producers and directors in the local movie industry should produce better movies and stop the concert.
Many Ghanaians have complained about the kind of content that the local movie industry produces because new movies were being released on daily basis and the quality of these movies are not satisfiable.
However, those in the industry responds to claims from the public saying lack of financial support over the years has disrupted the quality of local films Ghanaians deserve.
But Ama continued, producers should stop giving such flimsy excuses and producing of quality movies do not depend on huge sum of money all the time.
She said “It is not always about the biggest budget or the biggest money. Whenever we come together in making project, let’s think of quality”.
“I always say that, when producing movies, make sure you bring out the quality. I have been in the movie industry for about 22 years and my advice is that, if you want to do something, do what can last for a hundred years and for people to also say indeed this film has a lot of quality”. Ama K. Abebrese concluded.
