Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder, but society finds its own way to tell us what must be accepted as beauty and what cannot. These forms of beauty (I.e society’s idea of beauty) are splashed or showed in advertisements, pageantries and movies. In recent times the ideal form of beauty in our society (for women) is a slim figure, slender waist and fair skin. This has brought about unnecessary competition and worry among women who fall on the other side of society’s beauty standards (I.e dark, plump and thick ladies). These pressures sometimes make women forget that beauty comes in various forms and pushes them to extreme measures like drastic weight loss, bleaching and crazy diets just so they could fit into society’s idea of beauty. As human beings we are beautifully and wonderfully made by God and so be proud of every curve, fold, complexion and shape of your body, because beauty comes in various forms,so my dear ladies never change your natural look just to fit into society’s idea of beauty, be your own kind of beautiful and keep doing you.
