Ghanaian rapper Michael Kwabena Okyere Darko who is popularly known as Obrafuor has launched the 20th anniversary Concert and celebration of his popular album dubbed ‘Pae mu ka @20’ and it was just beautiful. This album was released in 1999 and this year marks two decades in the Ghana music industry.
This event received a lot of support from many celebrities most of whom believe that the album had a great impact and change in their life for the better. During the event, Obrafuor said on stage that Ghanian actress and producer Yvonne Nelson actually took it upon herself to foot all the bills of the launch which took place at Tang Palace Hotel on the 29th of May, 2019.
Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa also attended the event to show support. Sarkodie also posted an open letter to Obrafuor and it’s very heart touching. Kojo Cue also expressed how Obrafuor helped him become a rapper and said if he is to ever perform the song ‘Aden’ with Orbrafuor, it will be the greatest day of his life in a series of posts on his Twitter account. Yvonne Nelson who also attended the event narrated how she saved her pocket money for a whole week, and even had to walk home after school. Watch video below.
