Ghanaian rapper and hip hop artist Sarkodie, who recently won the Artist of the Decade Category at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has shared his thoughts on the decision by the VGMA board concerning Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
The VGMA board has set punitive measures against both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for their misconduct at VGMA 2019 and some celebrities don’t agree fully with such a decision including Sarkodie. He made a series of tweets basically explaining how Charterhouse can’t leave all the blame on only both artists.
According to him, Charterhouse’s first mistake is selling tickets to the public as the event is not a concert. He believes security was bad and others he didn’t mention so Charterhouse is also at fault in this issue. Sarkodie’s wish is that both the artists and organizers work on their mistake instead of just one side taking the harsh decision. Also he says their decision was too quick and they as artist could also react the same way. See posts below.
